Mountain Valleys Landscape of Pakistan
Nature has blessed Pakistan with unique landscape, the high mountains; plateau plain, deserts and luring sunny beaches are found here. However, more than fifty percent of its area is mountainous, particularly its Northern and North Western region which posses the most fascinating mountains on earth. Magnificent wreckage of continents in collision, fifty million years ago, and immense island collided with mainland Asia to create the South Asian Sub-Continent and push the Himalayas skyward. The mighty ranges Karakoram, the Himalaya and Hindukush make a rendezvous here. Beside the high mountains, these ranges are inhabited by the longest glaciers outside polar regions, enchanting and captivating valleys like, Skardu, Shigar, Khaplu, Rondu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ishkuman, Naltar, Diamar, Chitral, and Kaghan and splendid passes like Gondogoro, Khurdopin, Hispar, and Shandur . There are numerous glacial lakes which are for their scenic value, blue waters and fishing. Prominent among these are, Satpara, Kachura, Lulusar, phandar, and Saiful Maluk.
